Dawson is heading out with the boys tonight for a bachelor party/ his own 26th birthday.  Given that girls are generally not welcome at things like bachelor parties, I am taking this time alone to be girly.  Super girly.  It is in this vein that I present you with my second Luxebox haul!  I showcased my first one here. This month was a special "Valentine's Day Edition" and it was some sort of collaboration with Flare Magazine.  To be honest, I'm not really sure what made it so "Flare-esque" other than that my product description card had a picture of the magazine but, meh, I got some cool stuff. Check it out:

1) Meredeasso Beautiful Body Balm (30 ml) - a nice light body/hand/foot moisturizer.  It has a pretty citrus-y scent that I like but its pretty much just a basic, everyday moisturizer.  Nothing too special, but nice none the less.  It'll be perfect for carrying in my purse. Value: $8.01

2) Lise Watier 24-hour Glam Mascara (mini) - I've actually used this mascara before and I love it.  In fact, I pretty much love every Lise Watier product out there.  They make some nice stuff!  In any case, I was excited to see this in my box and will definitely be using this when my current mascara runs out. Value: $11

3) Dermalogica Microfoliant (13 g)- this is a dry powder that you shake out onto wet hands and work into a paste on your face after washing.  I love, love, love it!  My skin is retarded sensitive, and this didn't cause any redness and left me all smooth and soft.  No breakouts and no dry flakes peeling off my skin for the next week. Yes! Value: $12.48

4) Shu Uemura (5 ml) - Essence Absolue Nourishing Protective Oil for Dry Hair - Haven't tried this one yet since I'm still only halfway through the Chi product I got last month (which is wicked btw!).  Value: $2.30

Bonus product - Meredeasso Face and Neck Toning Gel (7 ml) - also haven't tried this one yet.  Apparently it will firm your skin in 3-5 days!  Hmmm, we'll see! Value: $ 16.80 (a ridiculous price for 7 ml of product!!!  Who the heck is buying the full-sized 50 ml bottle for $120??? Nuts!)

Total Box Value: $50.59 - insane, considering I paid $12 plus tax.

Other girly things I have planned for today:

1) wear Lulus and comfy hoodie all day
2) Visit Shoppers Drug Mart for 20x the points day
3) Watch movie version Water for Elephants (I loved the book)
4) Girly date with the bride of the above mentioned bachelor (Hi Celina!) to eat burritos and make "Team Bride" bachelorette party t-shirts for when it's our turn to have a night on the town.
5)  Possibly a nap...cause naps are awesome.
